1. Scope
1.1 This test method covers the determination of 226Ra in environmental water samples in the range of 0.01 Bq/L (0.27 pCi/L) or greater. 1.2 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only. 1.3 This test method has been used successfully with the EPA Radiochemistry Alternate Test Procedures Drinking Water Test Matrix. It is the users responsibility to ensure the validity of this test method for samples larger than 0.5 L and for waters of untested matrices. 1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
