This standard is being balloted for withdrawal with no replacement because ASTM has an ILS program that E15 has used and will continue to use. Plus - Among other supporting factors, E 180 goes through a lot of hand calculations when there are available statistical packages to do these analyses. This makes this practice appear overly complex and may discourage the use of such studies within the committee. With the ASTM ILS program available, E180 could be retired to IHS (ASTM and other standards assocations archive facility)and would be available for a fee.
