ASTM WK24605

(What is a Work Item? / How to Input to a Work Item)

Work Item: ASTM WK24605 - Revision of F963 - 08 Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety

Active Standard: F963 - 11

Developed by Subcommittee: F15.22 | Committee F15 Home | Contact Staff Manager

1. Rationale

ASTM F963 no longer requires an a-weighted max measurement. It is now a c-weighted peak measurement. All references to Lamax should have been removed in the last revision. Since the requirements and the methods do not direct the user to make an Lamax measurement, changes to 8.19.2.4 (5) and (6)are being recommend for clarity and do not alter the standard technically.
