1. Scope
This specification establishes nationally recognized performance standards for portable emergency fuel containers for one time use by consumers.
There is a need to create a standard for single use fuel carriers since all existing regulation excludes them. Single use carriers (Portable Emergency Fuel Carriers (PEFC)) are for the emergency attended transport of fuel from the gas station to the car in out of gas situations.
