1. Rationale
- Generally, the more thicker and wider, the more difficult to meet the tolerance on width of trimmed edges. However, Present ASTM A 480 which is not specifying thickness in detail makes slitting machines could not easily meet the tolerance on width for trimmed edges in any specific thickness. - For 5 mm of thickness, there is a sudden change between 0-2 mm (w1200) and 0-6 mm(w1200) - There is a typographical errors in present ASTM A 480. (It doesnt specify for 5 mm!) - Tolerance on Width for Trimmed Edges in 5TX1199W is relatively too tight compared to DIN EN 10051, JIS G 4304
