    (What is a Work Item?)

Developed by Subcommittee: C24.61 | Committee C24 | Contact Staff Manager

    WK23738

    1. Scope

1.1This test method covers the adhesion capability of aerosol foam sealants to any specific substrate. 1.2The method is intended to measure the adhesion of aerosol foam sealants. 1.3Such foam sealants are used for a variety of end use applications intended to reduce air movement in building envelopes. 1.4 Currently two main foam sealant types are applicable to this standard, single component polyurethane and latex types. 1.5 Values are reported in SI units only. Certain apparatus and supply items are referenced in inch-pound units for purchasing purposes. 1.6 There are no other known test methods specific for measuring the adhesion for aerosol foam sealants.

There is no known existing standard addressing the adhesion strength of aerosol foam sealants.
