D8-Standard Terminology Relating to Materials for Roads and Pavements is a compilation of terminology related to materials for roads and pavements. D5535 is one of two terminology standards that isnt included in D8. All terminology within D5535 is contained in D8. There is no need to maintain two redundant standards. As the three standards that currently reference D5535 come up for review D5535 will be replaced with D8. In the meantime, if users come to the ASTM website looking for D5535, it would say withdrawn and replaced by D8.
