1. Scope
This test method covers guidelines, requirements, and procedures for evaluating the effect of hydraulically applied erosion control products (HECPs) on seed germination and vegetation enhancement. This test method will evaluate the effects of HECPs on seed germination in a controlled environment.
Hydraulic mulches are produced from various material compositions, its important to understand the impact this has on seed germination and plant establishment. This test method will give project owners, Contractors and DOT officials the ability to evaluate and differentiate between technologies.
