1. Scope

This practice is to provide direction for the user to determine the Titanium Dioxide content and the Lead Chromate content in thermoplatic pavment marking materials using X-ray Florescent analysis on a melted sample of material. State Agencies, will use the guide to create methodology specific to thier equipment that will allow them to test for pigment levels in thier thermoplastic pavement marking materials as part of thier Quality Control process.
