Work Item: ASTM WK22058 - New Test Method for Evaluating the adhesion (pull off) strength of repair materials in a laboratory

Developed by Subcommittee: C09.25 | Committee C09 Home | Contact Staff Manager

1. Scope

1.1 This test method is suitable for laboratory use to determine one or more of the following: 1.1.1 The bond strength of a repair or an overlay material to the substrate. 1.1.2 The tensile strength of a repair or overlay material, used in repairs, after the material has been applied to a surface. 1.1.3 The change in tensile strength of the bond when applying a bonding agent 1.2 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.
