1. Rationale
Section 1.2 Currently, the standard states the following: The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only. Our proposal is to change section 1.2 to state: The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard. All references to inch/pound units will be removed (This includes the removal of references to inches in all figures found within the standard)
