1. Rationale
The Mild exposure condition is from ACI 211.1-91. In describing this condition, it indicates that this is for air entrainment for a beneficial effect other than durability. This exposure includes indoor and outdoor service in a climate where concrete will not be exposed to freezing or deicing salts. C94 should only address recommended air content for air-entrained concrete for freeze-thaw durability. The mild condition is not easily evident if one needs to refer to ACI 211.1. The exposure conditions of ACI 318 are described and the conditions are defined here to help the user of the standard.
