WK21529 Revision of F606M - 07 Standard Test Methods for Determining the Mechanical Properties of Externally and Internally Threaded Fasteners, Washers, and Rivets [Metric]

1. Rationale

F16 has issued at least one machine screw standard and is working on several others. Tensile testing has been specified so far, but that is not the best test for evaluating machine screws. We are proposing that a torsional strength test procedure be added to F606M. This same test already exists in F738M.
