1. Rationale
ASTM D 7430 - Part A states that a cutter opening should be at least 2.5 to 3 times the nominal top size of the coal. ISO 13909 states 3 times top size. The TG agreed that it was important to review the science and engineering principles to determine the correct cutter opening and specify it more clearly in the standard.
