WK20696 Revision of D6186 - 98(2003)e1 Standard Test Method for Oxidation Induction Time of Lubricating Oils by Pressure Differential Scanning Calorimetry (PDSC)

1. Rationale

This proposed revision was drafted in five year review and to implement the SI units in the method according to Form Guideline and ASTM direction. The second purpose of this revision is to replace the existing kinetic model for predicting induction times with a new kinetic model to improve their predictability.
