1. Scope
1.1 This test method covers the determination of high molecular weight components, specifically carboxylic acids, in finished fuel corrosion inhibitor additives 1.2 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
Two potential uses are: 1) quality control measurement for oligomer raw material production. 2) quality indicator for finished corrosion inhibitor additives.
