1. Rationale
According to the editorial guidelines of D16, when a new method is published and is applicable to support a specification in D16, that method will we included as an alternate to the other methods already part of the specification. Initially the methods may be provided without a reproducibility statement. Methods that do not obtain a full precision statement within the time period allowed will be dropped. By including these methods in the specifications we are permitting there use to facilitate the ability to obtain a full precision statement.
