1. Rationale
To revise to a Combined Standard, and update the Standard. This item was previously balloted to the C9 main committee with one negative vote. Additional revisions were made to satisfy the negative. All references to polymer-modified shotcrete are also being removed. It is the consensus of Subcommittee C 09.46 and ASA that the use of polymer-modified shotcrete may make the removal of overspray from reinforcing steel and other elements more difficult, which can inhibit bond of the shotcrete to these elements.
