(What is a Work Item? / How to Input to a Work Item)

Work Item: ASTM WK19430 - Revision of D2699 - 07a Standard Test Method for Research Octane Number of Spark-Ignition Engine Fuel

Active Standard: D2699 - 11e1

Developed by Subcommittee: D02.01 | Committee D02 Home | Contact Staff Manager

1. Rationale

The critical equipment and instrumentation lists have been removed from the method as much of this information is contained within the manufacturers maintenance manuals. It is necessary to ensure information is present within the method regarding critical parameters that have a direct impact upon the test result so that replacement or newly developed parts, do not compromise unit operation.
