1. Rationale
There are three terms being submitted for F06.10 Subcommittee ballot consideration for inclusion in ASTM F 141 document, as a follow-up to the terminology discussions at the Tampa meeting. The terms are: Cellular concrete, n a light weight flooring substrate material which utilizes a hydraulic cement as the binder and has a homogeneous void or cell structure attained using gas forming chemicals or foaming agents. Hydraulic cement, n a binder system used in concrete subfloor assemblies that harden by chemical reaction with water and is capable of doing so even under very wet conditions. Structural, adj capable of transferring dynamic or static loads(live, dead or both) across supporting joint members or subfloor assembly.
