Work Item: ASTM WK18814 - New Guide for Relative Intensity Correction of Raman Spectrometers

Developed by Subcommittee: E13.08 | Committee E13 Home | Contact Staff Manager

1. Scope

This guide is designed to enable the user to correct a Raman spectrometer for its system response function. This relative intensity correction will enable the intercomparison of Raman spectra acquired from differing instruments, excitation wavelengths, and laboratories. This practice will guide users on the proper use of NISTs SRM 224x standards: Relative Intensity Correction standards for Raman spectroscopy. This guide will be used by practioners, Raman system vendors and others and will enable the intercomparison of Raman spectra acquired on dissimilar Raman spectrometers.
