1. Rationale
Create a standard definition for mold resistant gypsum board. Currently, there are several gypsum board and gypsum panel products on the market that are promoted as being mold resistant. However, there is no standard specification for what test method, procedures or performance levels are required to qualify as mold resistant. There is a need to standardize the use and meaning of this term.
