1. Scope
This guide covers minimum requirements for performance of a river/flood/swift water rescuers who performs rescues from rivers, creeks, streams, ditches and other similar bodies of water; assists with support for rescue divers; and provide initial patient care at a river emergency.
This guide was developed by the emergency personnel who respond to these emergencies as part of their jobs.
