1. Scope
This guide covers the methodology for the use of whistles as a means of communication during water rescue operations. Water rescue operations include water emergencies at lakes, ponds, quarries, ice, river, flood, coastal, and other bodies of water.\t
Several years ago the importance of a guide was brought to our attention and now lately with the Florida and Louisiana hurricanes where multiple agencies are responding to these emergencies the timing is relevant.
