1.1 This standard specifies chloroform (trichloromethane) that is suitable for use as feed stock for fluorocarbons
Virtually all chloroform sold goes into the fluorocarbon market and the market is mature enough now for a consensus standard. It will be used by producers of chloroform and producers of fluorocarbons.
