1. Rationale
All requirements of the standard remain unchanged in this draft, but the format has been updated to our current form, including the use of the chinbar test now included in F 1446.
After discussion in Atlanta we have not proposed lowering the front test line to match the CPSC standard. If made for sale in the US, a helmet meeting this standard would be required to meet the CPSC standard at their lower front test line, but this standard calls out a more exacting test, with a 1.6 m drop to the hemi anvil.
