1. Rationale
New concepts related to sustainable buildings and sustainable development are being considered, which will include the need for terms and definitions to represent these new concepts. Also, several of the concepts and their attributed terms and definitions already included within ASTM E 2114-01 Standard Terminology for Sustainability Related to the Performance of Buildings are under review for possible update and revision.
