1. Scope
This specification covers an automotive diesel fuel composed of petroleum diesel fuel, ethanol, and emulsifying additives.
This specification was initiated at the request of the US Air Force. They have conducted limited tests with the fuel and are preparing to purchase it on a wider basis. US Department of Defense guidelines require use of concensus standards where they are available.
