1. Scope
This standard will define the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required of unmanned aircraft pilots to be able to fly unmanned aircraft in the National Airspace System safely and for hire.
When the FAA approves flight of unmanned aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS), pilots will require certain knowledge, skills, and abilities to be able to fly safely. This standard attempts to define them.
