1. Scope
This standard guide will provide guidance for designing mail rooms to mitigate the effects of explosives and chemical, biological, and radiological agents delivered through the mail or supply systems.
This standard guide is needed because there are currently no standards that provide guidance on how to design mail rooms and supplies delivery points to resist the efects of explosives and contaminants. It will be used by engineers and architects in bot the public and private sectors.
