1. Scope
This standard guide will provide guidance for the design of customer service areas and building entrances to limit access and mitigate criminal and terrorist acts at such locations within buildings.
This standard guide is needed because there are currently no standards that provide guidance for designing secure building lobbies and customer service areas. It will be used by architects and engineers from both the public and private sectors.
