1. Scope
This standard guide will provide guidance for designing and constructing safe havens within buildings to provide protection for building occupants from terrorist threats.
This standard is needed because there are currently no standards that address safe havens. It will be used by public and privatge sector engineers and architects for the design of safe havens.
