1. Scope
This will be a standard guide for identifying standard practices and specifications (as applicable) for perimeter protection measures and for placement of fences and walls, clear zones for surveillance, site grading, gates and turnstiles, and standoff distances.
This standard guide is needed because there is no standard guidance for developing perimeter designs for homeland security applications. It will be used by architects, landscape architects, engineers, and end users in both the public and private sectors.
