Formerly under the jurisdiction of Committee D01 on Paint and Related Coatings, Materials, and Applications, this test method was withdrawn in June 2008. This standard is being withdrawn without replacement due to its limited use by industry.

1.1 This test method covers the quantitative determination of the content of cellulose nitrate (also known as nitrocellulose) in lacquers containing alkyd resins.
