This ASTM research report includes static bending compression and static torsion data supporting ASTM F1717-09. Five samples each of a single fusion device (with cross connectors for torsion and without cross connectors for compression) was tested at a total of six laboratories. Sufficient data were acquired to calculate the precision of these tests. For bending, the following properties were evaluated and statistically compared: Ultimate Displacement (mm), Ultimate Load (N), Stiffness (N/mm), Displacement at 2% Offset Yield (mm), Yield Load (N), and Elastic Displacement (mm). For torsion, the following properties were evaluated and statistically compared: Stiffness (Nm/°), Angular Displacement at 2% Offset Yield (°), Yield Torque (Nm), and Elastic Angular Displacement (°).
