Research Report E35-1005 presents the results of the Interlaboratory Study used to establish the precision and bias statement for ASTM E2783 Standard Test Method for Assessment of Antimicrobial Activity for Water Miscible Compounds Using A Time-Kill Procedure. The collaborative study included 4 labs that used method E2783 to test one sample at one time point against one organism utilizing two sample sizes with six replicates. The option of using either a 10 or 100mL sample size is given in the method. Both sample sizes were run together for the collaborative study to show that there was no statistical difference between the two sample sizes. The research report presents the data for the reproducibility and repeatability of the method for each sample size as well as the analysis of the comparison of the two sample sizes.
