Research Report RR:D31-1013
Research Report D31-1013 presents the results of the Interlaboratory Study used to establish the precision and bias statement for ASTM D7674, Standard Test Method for Hexane/Petroleum Ether Extract in Wet Blue and Wet White. The collaborative study included 7 labs who used method D7674 to analyze wet blue samples using both hexane and petroleum ether as the extraction solvents. Samples were prepared under two condition: As received in wet state, diced; Oven-dried at two different temperatures, or air-dried, ground. Each lab submitted two replicate test results at each condition for the test portions analyzed. The research report presents summary method performance statistics as well as the measurement data used to calculate results for the study.
