Research Report RR:D02-1682
This research report contains the data for the precision statement for D7096.It was obtained from 10 samples including finished gasoline samples containing ethanol. In addition alkylates, reformates and untreated naphtha were also included. All samples were analyzed by GC-FID, using capillary columns and no cryogenic temperature conditions. In contrast to all simulated distillation methods, response factors are obtained in this method and used to calibrate on a volume basis. In addition to the boiling point distribution, the precision for the analysis of the gases contained in these samples (propane, isobutane, n-butane, and isopentane) are also included. The method is intended to replace D3710.
