This research report documents the interlaboratory study that was done to authicate a new instrument for the determination of carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen in petroleum products. This method extends the scope of the current method (D5291) to lower levels of nitrogen, in particular. The precision obtained through this ILS is superior to that currently quoted in D5291.Ten samples and 15 laboratories participated in this ILS.The new method will be included as procedure D in the new version of D5291-10.
