The prime objective of the Operability Task Force was in part to assess suitabilityand effectiveness of the proposed ASTM Cold Soak Filtration method inminimizing the risk of filter plugging in biodiesel blends. The data from thisOperability Task Force was used to determine an interim Precision for theproposed ASTM Test Method for Cold Soak Filtration.This report is an attempt to supply such an analysis based on well-establishedmethodologies. Subsequent to test method publication a more thorough roundrobin is planned. Nine laboratories tested seven fuel types.
