UOP787 -78 Silicones in Petroleum Distillates by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry

1. Scope

This method is applicable to the determination of silicones as hydrocarbon soluble silicon in light petroleum distillates. It is primarily intended to be used to analyze Platforming charge stocks for silicones. The lower limit of detection is approximately 0.1 wt-ppm silicon.
