1.1 Esta especificación corresponde a cementos adicionados hidráulicos para aplicaciones generales y especiales, utilizando escoria o puzolana, o ambas, con cemento portland o clinquer de cemento portland o escoria con cal.

NOTA 1—Esta especificación prescribe ingredientes y dosificaciones, con algunos requisitos de desempeño mientras que la especificación de desempeño C 1157 es una especificación de cemento hidráulico en la cual solo los criterios de desempeño gobiernan los productos y su aceptación.

1.2 Para las propiedades donde los valores están dados en unidades SI y no-SI, los valores en unidades SI son considerados como los estándares. Los valores en unidades SI deben ser obtenidos por medición en unidades SI o por conversión apropiada, utilizando las reglas para conversión y redondeo dadas en IEEE/ASTM SI 10, de las mediciones realizadas en otras unidades.
