Committee F29 on Anesthetic and Respiratory Equipment
ASTM Committee F29 on Anesthetic and Respiratory Equipment was formed in 1983. F29 meets twice each year, in May and December, with approximately 30 members attending five days of technical meetings capped by presentations from industry, association or government representatives and a plenary session which formulates the U.S. technical advisory group's position for ISO/Technical Committee 121 on Anesthetic and Respiratory Equipment. The Committee, with a membership of about 100, currently has jurisdiction of over 20 standards, published in the Annual Book of ASTM Standards, Volume 13.01. F29 has 10 technical subcommittees that maintain jurisdiction over these standards. Information on this subcommittee structure and F29's portfolio of approved standards and Work Items under construction are available from the Lists of Subcommittees, Standards and Work Items below. These standards have and continue to play a preeminent role in all aspects important to anesthetic and respiratory equipment.
