Committee Scope

The formulation of the test methods, definitions, specifications, practices, and classifications pertaining to rubber, rubber products, and systems and services appropriate to rubber technology. Tires, insulated wire and cable, electrical protective equipment, and insulated tape are excluded since they are the responsibility of other ASTM Committees.

The Committee shall encourage research concerning the properties of such materials, products, and systems. Both standardization and research activities will be coordinated with other relevant Committees.
