Committee F34 on Rolling Element Bearings

Staff Manager: Frank McConnell

ASTM Committee F34 on Rolling Element Bearings was formed in 2000. This committee was previously the Rolling Element Bearing Committee (REBG), which was formed in 1973 to develop standards for military applications under Federal Supply Group 31. F34 meets twice a year, usually in May and November, with approximately 75 members attending over three days of technical meetings. The Committee, with a membership of about 49, is currently converting over 200 military standards into ASTM. F34 has 6 technical subcommittees. The portfolio of approved standards and Work Items under development are available from the List of Subcommittees, Standards and Work Items below. These standards have and continue to play a preeminent role in all aspects important to the industry including: compositions, properties, dimensions, classification, nomenclature, analysis, and quality assurance.
