The papers presented in this publication discuss pavement texture measurements, relation of different texture measurement techniques, performance predictor models, and systematic approaches to safety improvement programs. The papers fall into two general categories: measuring and predicting skid resistance characteristics; and strategies for reducing wet weather accidents on highways.
