The symposium was sponsored by Division A of ASTM Committee D02 on Petroleum Products and Lubricants. The symposium committee consisted of H. T. Miles, chairman, Ford Motor Company; J. B. Rather, Jr., Mobil Oil Corporation; and J. E. Sigsby, Jr., National Air Pollution Control Administration.
