ASTM Standards on Lubricant Chemistry is a companion and supplement CD to Manual 59 A Comprehensive Review of Lubricant Chemistry, Technology, Selection, and Design. The CD can be purchased with the manual or separately. The CD contains 61 fully described ASTM standard test methods that are used most often to assess the properties, composition, and the performance of various lubricants and fuels. Many of these tests can and are also used to assure the identity, purity, and the composition of the chemical additives that are used to formulate lubricants. The availability of these tests on a CD is not only convenient with respect to storage but it also facilitates quick searches for the appropriate test procedure, due to the presence of a numerical index. Since ASTM standards are often revised, the standards included in this CD are the most recent versions at the time of publication.
